ACoRD – Alliance for Common Rural Development is project financed by European Union within „Civil Society Facility Programme 2012“. Project ACoRD is implemented by ACED – Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development from Banja Luka as leading organisation in cooperation with local partners REDAH from Mostar, Nešto Više from Sarajevo, LAG Una-Sana from Sanski Most, and European partner ELARD – European LEADER Association for Rural Development from Brussels.

ACoRD aims to contribute to improvement of civic activism through increased participation and representation of rural people in social and policy related initiatives and civil society impact on decision makers (governance, social issues and policy-making) in rural development sector.

ACoRD has three specific objectives:

a) To establish Rural Development Network as strategic and strong partnership in rural development of BaH;

b) To strengthen capacities of civil society organisations, members Rural Development Network of BaH and

c) To include non-governmental sector in developing and promoting mechanisms for increased civic participation, public sector reform process and policy harmonisation in accordance with the EU relevant policies in rural development field.

Total duration of project ACoRD is 24 months, and it will be implemented until December 2014.
