Within the project ,, Ensuring access to justice for witnesses / victims by strengthening the existing and establishing new networks of support for witnesses in BiH “was held three-day workshop to exchange experiences of Witness support networks. The workshop was held from 13 to 15 April at Jahorina, and the participants were representatives of institutions and NGOs in the area covered by district courts of Banja Luka, Doboj, Bijeljina, Trebinje and East Sarajevo.
The project is implemented by 4 partner An organization: ,, Vive žene” Tuzla, ,, Medica “Zenica, Foundation ,, Udružene žene ” Banja Luka and the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ACED Banja Luka, and financed by the European Union.
The objectives of the workshop are: exchange of experience in the work of institutional support networks and newly formed multidisciplinary teams, the development of more efficient methodologies of networks / teams and the establishment of future cooperation network / support teams to victims and witnesses in the areas under the jurisdiction of district courts in the Republic of Srpska (RS).
Participants discussed during the three days and exchanged experiences in the work of the network, identified challenges and opportunities in the work of the network to solve priority and providing Victims/witnesses support network. Also, by working in small groups, discussing how each institution or non-governmental organizations, can contribute to the network what a network can provide the local community and how the network can be more visible and accessible to users.
