IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Dear partners, collaborators and friends,

The Assembly of the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development (ACED) inform you herein that the Association has suspended all its activities due to an inability to provide a proper use of project funds in a criminal and corruption ridden environment we live in. We have therefore suspended all project and other activities in the manner that would be in line with the statutory objectives and values of the Association.

In July 2020, the ACED Assembly filed criminal charges to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office against the former Executive Director Duško Vučić having reasonable grounds to believe that he had incurred a damage to the Association of over BAM500,000, as far as it has been established so far, from the Association through abuse of office and embezzlement. At a session held 10 June 2020, Duško Vučić was removed from office as the Association’s Executive Director and excluded from the membership of the Association’s Assembly. After filing criminal charges against Duško Vučić, his employment contract was terminated due to serious violations of his work obligations.

Having conducting an investigation, the Banja Luka Police Administration filed a report in December 2020 to the District Public Prosecutor’s Office and informed the public of the reasonable doubt for allegations presented in the criminal charges filed.  Capital.ba

You can find detailed information about all the criminal and corruption processes we are facing on the web portal Capital.ba, whom we thank here for their outstanding professionalism. We are thrilled by the fact that investigative journalism still exists in these parts.

We sincerely hope that the District Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Basic Court in Banja Luka will finally start to apply positive legal regulations aimed at preventing corruption and crime in all walks of life, civic associations included.

Respectfully,

ACED Assembly
