In the period 03-05.03. , in Bihać, held a training for network of student councils of Una-Sana Canton. As every year, the aim of the training is to exchange experiences and impressions of the student council activities, to discus about the everyday students problems, actions in the future et cetera.
In addition to mandatory training activities on the second day of training was organized visit to the Una-Sana Canton assembly. During the visit, representatives of student councils of all secondary schools from Canton stated needs and the problems they face, and the presentation of the work of the Network was presented to the Commission for Education, Science, Culture and Sport. The visit was very productive and it was agreed that the Commission make a proposal for mreVUK USK to be placed on the draft of budget of the canton. It also agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation and support between the Commission for Education, Science, Culture and Sport and mreVUK USK. The meeting was closed by president of MreVUK USK with an emphasis on the fact that high school students are resource that the state should be used, rather than a problem to be solved.
Program of developing networks of highschool student councils in BiH, implemented by ACED in partnership with OKC, is financially supported by EU Commission and NED (Natonal endowment for democracy).
