On Wednesday , 17.06 , an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ( ACED ) , Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development ( CARD ) and Laktaši municipality. The agreement was signed by Deputy Chief of the Laktaši Milan Baštinac , Director ACED Dusko Vucic and President CARD Miodrag Matavulj.
This Agreement officially created the conditions for the start of infrastructure works on the construction of the Center for Economic and Rural Development ( CERD ) in the village Krnete.
"CERD" is an initiative that provides regional economic development and the development of rural economy . CERD will engage experts who will with their own examples - going from the city to the countryside for work , as well as their experience and knowledge , to show that the potential available to rural communities . Therefore, the CERD will be a unique center of its kind in BiH and the region " - said the president of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development Miodrag Matavulj.
Center for Economic and Rural Development CERD , as department of CARD, will serve the region (municipality of Laktasi ,Gradiska ,Kozarska Dubica and Srbac) , and beyond ,as a one-stop-shop for business development ,innovation ,and attracting investment for local entrepreneurial initiatives. Within
CERD will develop and offer a full range of business services for SMEs with potential or already focused activities on growth and development. Special attention will be given to SMEs in the field of agriculture, food and other key rural economic activities.
Some of the services that CERD will offer SMEs are : promotion of innovation and new technologies, product development, support for the introduction of quality standards, support for business.
