Training on “Advocacy” organized by the Balkans independent disability framework ( BIDF) and ACED within the project “Balkan independent disability framework”, funded by the European Union, was held from 31.05 to 01.06.2016. in Teslic. The training was organized as part of activities to strengthen the capacity of disability organizations of BIDF network and other disability organizations in the implementation of political advocacy and networking at all levels.
The objectives of this training were to educate the participants with the basic steps in the successful advocacy, and overcoming practical steps and techniques in legislative advocacy. Also, participants were able to learn how to run a successful PR campaign. Through practical work and concrete examples, participants have mastered the techniques and processes important for successful advocacy and qualify for self-advocacy in the community.
