CALL FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS FOR COOPERATION WITHIN THE PROJECT GARD – EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN RURAL AREAS

Gender Agenda in Rural Development – Empowerment of Women in the Rural Society
(GARD Project)

GARD Project is a two year project funded by the European Commission from the fund ” Partnership Actions – Empowerment of Women ” . GARD project is carried out on the territory of Albania , Croatian and Bosnia and Herzegovina , with partners from Spain .
The project is part of a wider concept of rural development activities in the territory of South East Europe . Project activities are focused on the empowerment of women in rural areas by encouraging participation and democratic initiatives . The project will be implemented in cooperation with public institutions and civil society organizations whose work is focused on improving the quality of life of women , especially women in rural areas .

The project implementators are non-governmental organizations active in empowering women, and work in rural areas of countries covered GARD project. The main objectives of the project are:

1) Creation of a network of civil society organizations active in empowering women in rural areas at the level of countries involved in the project, and through these networks create a regional network for the empowerment of women in rural development in the Western Balkans (planned by the end of 2012)

2) The creation and adoption of the Agenda for the empowerment of women in rural areas in all the countries involved in the project (planned by the end of June 2013);

3) Promoting Agenda for the empowerment of women in rural areas at the level of the countries involved, in order to enable the Agenda at the local level through a network of non-governmental organizations, private sector, local authorities and agencies to (planned by the end of 2013).

We would like to invite all organizations that already work and / or want to be involved in work on the activities provided GARD project, to complete the questionnaire attached and contribute to the implementation of this project.
