National conference held in BiH

The two-day national conference entitled “Presentation of the report on the compliance of the legislative and institutional framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and recommendations for harmonization”, was held on July 15 and 16 in hotel “Hollywood” in Sarajevo.

The conference, which was attended by over 45 participants – representatives of relevant ministries, civil society organizations and representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities, organized by the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ACED within the project “Establishing the Balkans independent disability framework “, funded by the European Union .

On the first day of the conference, the “Report on compliance of the legislative and institutional framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities with recommendations for harmonization” was presented, as well as the work of Council of Ministers of persons with disabilities.

On the second day of the conference, presented the Balkan independent networks in the disability field, as the only regional network of civil society organizations that work to improve the situation of persons with disabilities in the Western Balkans.
