Presentation of the project organized by the EU Delegation in Sarajevo

In the premises of the EU Delegation in BiH on Wednesday 21 January 2015 there was a presentation of the project entitled “Ensuring access to justice for witnesses / victims by strengthening existing and developing new networks of support to witnesses throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The project is funded by the European Union, and implemented by four non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina: UG “Vive women” Tuzla; The association of citizens “Medica” Zenica; Foundation “United Women” Banja Luka; The Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development “ACED” Banja Luka.

Massimo Mina, Head of Operations Section III outlined the project and highlighted its support of the EU and for its execution.
The project is presented by Jasna Zecevic, Director of the NGO “Vive Zene” as the holder of the grant, and the goal was to inform the public, relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations on the objectives, activities and expected results of the project.
In addition to representatives of the EU Delegation as host and organizations over the next 36 months to implement the project, were present and the BiH Ombudsman, as well as managers in dealing with this subject from UNWOMEN, UNDP, OSCE, IOM, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, the Agency for Gender Equality and Goldsmith University of London.
This is also an opportunity to raise awareness and draw attention to issues concerning the protection of victims / witnesses and their access to justice. It is planned that these and similar presentation before the institutions that are dealing with the protection of witnesses / victims are held in the future.
