International Human Rights Day

Agency for cooperation, education and the development ACED Banja Luka , NGO “Vive žene” Tuzla, NGO “Medica” Zenica and Foundation, “United women” Banja Luka, in several cities Bosnia and Herzegovina commemorate 10th December – International Human Rights Day. Human Rights Day commemorate the mentioned organization within the project “Ensuring access to justice for witnesses/victims through strengthening existing and establishing new witnesses support networks in BiH “which is being implemented with financial support from European Union, and with the goal to raise awareness of the public about the priorities and the problems of witnesses in BiH. This significant date, the project team marks in Banja Luka, Tuzla, Zenica, Novi Travnik, Mostar, Bihac, Gorazde and Livno.

Agency for cooperation, education and the development ACED and the Foundation “United women” International Human Rights Day in Banja Luka marked yesterday, on 9 December, in music pavilion ,,Staklenac” from 11:00 AM to 20:00. At a press conference at 11:00 project team members have stressed the importance of respect for all human rights, having in mind that this organizations are implementing other projects in the area civil society, and act to protect human rights (women, persons with disabilities, young people … ). Special attention at a press conference dedicated to the witness rights, which specifically refers to the provision of protection and adequate support witnesses in the court processes in BIH.
The program was held in a creative workshop, outlining the reading his youth theater, with the goal to raise awareness of young people about human rights and respect for them. The outcome of the workshop was an exhibition of photographs in stop motion technique, with messages on the theme human rights that the participants themselves did.
After workshops and exhibitions, the attendees were able to have a look at idea “Lilika” , in bringing young actress-Minister Dolores Letić, and in the end cultural program performed acoustic duo strength.

UG “Vive žene”  today in the hotel Tuzla in 11.00 hours hold meeting network to support witnesses/victims in Tuzla Canton. The subject of the meeting is the analysis of labor network for support for witnesses/victims — for the area this Canton and agree on future activities and the manner of action network. 13:00 preview is planned documentary film “Diary of one witness” which is produced by a broadcaster Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHRT) in co-operation with U. G. “Vive žene” Tuzla.

“Medica”  will in the framework of their regular activities, as well as part of a campaign on 16 days of activism against gender-based violence and mark the International Day of human rights Hagues diplomatic community and division promotional materials project “ensuring access to justice for witnesses/victims through strengthening existing and establishing new support network svjedocim in BiH”.
