Leadership skills capacity building training for representatives of the network of student councils of Central Bosnia Canton (mreVUK SBK) was organized in Bugojno from 19 till 21 October 2018. The training was attended by presidents of student councils of Central Bosnia canton secondary schools. During a three-day training participants analyzed the work of the network and student councils in this canton. The analysis of participation of representatives of secondary school students in decision-making processes at the school, local community and cantonal level indicated necessity to strengthen role of student councils: as the role of student council as representative body of the students population at school and local community level, as well as the network in capacity of their representative at cantonal level.
The leadership of the network and and work teams were elected by consensus.
The special attention was paid to election of the PR team, appointed to work intensively on promotion of needs, interests and results of the secondary school students of this canton.
This activity was implemented within the project „Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative“- YEDI, implemented by ACED in partnership with mreSVUBIH. The YEDI project is funded by the European Union.
