Capacity building training for representatives of the Student Council Network of Una- Sana Canton (mreVUK USK) was organized in Cazin from 19 till 21 October 2018. The training was attended by presidents of student councils from all secondary schools of the Una- Sana Canton and guests from the Student Council Network from Republika Srpska. The first part of the training was devoted to analysis of needs of high-school population in Una- Sana Canton, the analysis of work of the student councils in secondary schools and drafting basic guidelines for need assessment for population of high-school students in this canton. The participants created draft of the questionnaire to assess needs of their peers, aimed to strengthen their position for advocating solutions for identified problems, before relevant institutions at cantonal and local level. This network gets significant support from the representatives of local and cantonal authorities, so the motivation for work on these processes was at the respectable level. During continuation of the training, the leadership of the network was elected and annual work plan of the mreVUK USK was defined.
This activity was implemented within the project „Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative“- YEDI, implemented by ACED in partnership with mreSVUBIH. The YEDI project is funded by the European Union.
