Training for the mreSVUBIH management

The management of mreSVUBIH, composed of five presidents of the mRESURS regional networks, ten presidents of the cantonal mreVUKs and representative of the Brcko District network, actively participated in the capacity building training, held in Sarajevo from 14 till 16 December 2018.

A three-day training, aimed to strengthen management structure of the high-school population in BiH, designed to represent and advocate for interest and needs of secondary school student population in BiH, was organized in two sessions.

The first session targeted skills and knowledge in the area of communication, management, networking, advocacy, media and resource mobilization. During the second session of the training, representatives of the BiH  secondary school students, motivated worked intensively on drafting the final version of the questionnaire and action plan for research on standpoints and needs of secondary school population in BiH, creating research monitoring plan, data processing and presentation of the research results.  In the continuation of the training, the participants worked on the network’s annual work plan and learned about representative democracy, i.e. accountability towards those who elected them. We educate new leaders, dedicated and accountable to their electorate; the leaders whose heads are heads of every student who voted for them to be in the management structure.

This activity was implemented within the project „Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative“- YEDI, implemented by ACED in partnership with mreSVUBIH. The YEDI project is funded by the European Union.
