Another in a series of civic debates held under the auspices of the BiH Student Council Network and Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development, was held on Thursday, 4 June via the online platform ZOOM meetings. The debate was attended by 20 participants from BiH, but also from other parts of Europe. The moderator of this debate was Vedad Štaljo.
This debate differed from the previous ones, both because of the topic and the participants themselves. Namely, the name of the topic was “Problems in studying in BiH”, with the emphasis on the impact of the pandemic itself. Participants were young people aged 18 to 28. For almost an hour and a half, they expressed their opinions and experiences, and talked about what bothered them and what they have or had problems with during studying and the education system in general. The two participants who were graduating from high school wanted to share their dilemmas and concerns with the others.
The time allotted for this debate was too short given that the participants wanted to talk more about this topic. They asked for the continuation of the debate in the coming period, because the topic is interesting and deserves more time. Participants pointed out that the quality of the conversation and discussion best reflected the seriousness of the topic and those who participated in the debate. They agreed to present the conclusions from this debate at the next one.
