Press conference on the occasion of the presentation of the project “Reconciliation through history education” will be held in Banja Luka , on September 18 ( Thursday) at 11.00 in the National and University Library of Slovenia ( Office No. 13 ) .
The project is funded by the EU and implemented by the National and University Library of the Republic of Srpska ( NUBRS ) in partnership with the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ( ACED ) .
The EU is funding the project within the ” Sarajevo 2014 ” to mark the centenary of the beginning of World War I , with a view to send a message of peace , reconciliation and solidarity .
The project will last 18 months through a series of activities will restore the memory of historical events in Bosnia and Herzegovina that preceded the First World War and the present geo – political picture of Europe at the time.
With the aim of building a peaceful and stable society project promoting reconciliation and the establishment of confidence in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Recognizing the importance of the study of history in the process, through the activities of the project will encourage the development of critical thinking and the culture of dialogue in the context of the study and celebration of historical events in Bosnia and Herzegovina .
The project will be presented by Mrs. Lilja Petrovic Gohan project manager .
