Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ACED and the Coordinating Committee of disability organizations RS – KOOIRS, in cooperation with the Association of people with muscular dystrophy and related diseases and the Balkan independent disability framework BIDF organized a campaign ,, Employer of the Year for Persons with Disabilities in the Republic of Srpska 2015″ This annual award is presented for the fifth time in the Republic of Srpska.
The campaign this year is supported by the Ministry of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons’ Protection of Republika Srpska, European Union Programme for Bosnia and Herzegovina CSF and the Agency for Cooperation, education and development ACED.
Today, 30.12. 2015 at 11: 30h, in the restaurant Integra was held on the occasion of the award employer of the year for persons with disabilities in the Republic of Srpska. This year in three categories were awarded employers: 1) in the category of small companies the employer’s Carving DOO from Ljubač
2) in the category of medium-sized enterprises is the employers’ Elektron DOO Derventa
3) in the category of large companies the employer’s Patriot DOO from Bijeljina
Special award for contribution to improvement of social status of persons with disabilities were awarded to: Citizens’ Association for assistance to persons with special needs and Sokolac Law Office Svetozar Ivetić. Thanks on the occasion of the exceptional support of the campaign were presented to the Minister of Labour, war veterans and disabled persons protection, Mr. Milenko Savanovic, and the Director of the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development ACED Mr. Dusko Vucic. Significantly, as prizes to all the winners were awarded artwork painters – people with disabilities. The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness of employers and the general public about the possibilities and abilities of persons with disabilities to participate equally in the labor market. Through this campaign, we also want to contribute to the establishment of criteria and guidelines, and to encourage other employers to meet and further contribute to the provision of equality of persons with disabilities in employment.
