Young people in Zenica determined to improve their status through activism

In Zenica, we successfully completed another civic debate “Stories from Untoldville”.

Sixteen active young people from the local community gathered on the premises of the Zenica Youth Center to discuss various topics and try to find solutions that would contribute to improving the status of young people.

In addition to the discussions, the participants conducted an interesting exercise “Manipulation Strategies”. Young people highlighted their satisfaction and said they would expect more similar activities to be organised in Zenica. The inevitable topics that the students discussed were the migrant crisis with special reference to the situation in Zenica as well as the problems in the education system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the need for reform.

The debate was held on Thursday, 17 September in collaboration with ACED – Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development. Workshops are part of the project Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI) supported by the EU.
