Training for mreVUK representatives held in Sarajevo

The three-day training for 34 presidents of the high school councils of Sarajevo Canton, was held in the period 8-9 October 2015.  in Sarajevo. The training goal was to enable the participants to improve their knowledge and skills in the following areas: leadership, communication in the team, the motivation of the students to actively participate in the work of the councils, accountability of elected representatives, defining the structure of the network, the development of the plan of action and the development of the campaign of the public advocacy.
Participants selected the new leadership and made a plan of activities for the coming school year. During the planning of the activities emphasis was placed on the development of volunteerism, ways of inclusion of young people and motivating to volunteer, and in order to achieve these goals  and activities of the “Week of volunteerism”. Program of developing student council networks in BiH, implemented by ACED in partnership with OKC, is financially supported by the European Union, and NED (National Endowment for Democracy).
