Three young ladies are chairs of the Una-Sana Canton Student Council Network

Representatives of twenty-three councils of high school students from the Una-Sana Canton visited Bihać last weekend, where another training of our Network was held, this time intended for representatives of this Canton.

On the first day of the gathering, the high school students had a meeting with representatives of the USK Government, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the Commission on Education, Culture and Sports. At stated meeting, high school students raised questions, outlined their needs and problems to government officials, and made it clear that young people are a resource that the state and the Una-Sana Canton should use, not a problem that they need to address.

For the remaining two days of the training, the high school students worked to strengthen the capacity of the Student Council of their schools, their leadership skills and to find solutions to some of the most important problems that affect them, their local communities and cantons.

Based on their problems and needs, they created an activity plan for the 2019/2020 school year – which is uniform for all high schools in the Canton.

During the training, a new leadership was elected, consisting of: Una-Sana Canton Student Council Network President Edna Mustafić, and Una-Sana Canton Student Council Vice-Presidents Sara Dejanović and Alma Nuhanović.
