Series of online debates continues: Young people discuss necessary changes in education

The civic debate event was organised by mreSVUB&H on 4 June under the auspices of the Agency for Cooperation, Education and Development continued. The continuation of the debate was held on Thursday, 24 June via the online platform ZOOM meetings. This debate was attended by 18 participants from BiH, but also from the region. The moderator was Vedad Štaljo.

The debate started as usual, with introduction, where new participants introduced themselves, said where they came from, and what they did and what they studied. The participants who also attended the previous debate provided only names and surnames. It is important to note that the participants were aged 18 to 28.

After the introduction, the participants were divided into four groups. Each group was tasked with presenting what they would do first and what they would change if they were ministers of culture, education or decision makers. The mentioned activity lasted ten minutes, after which the participants returned to the main group, and began a discussion on the given topic. The head of the debate, Vedad Štaljo, pointed out that they had really quality young people who had something to say about this interesting topic. All participants presented their views and gave an overview of the current situation in BiH, as well as in the countries of the region.

Debate lasted a little over an hour and a half. All participants were satisfied. You could hear a lot of new thoughts, and find out what was being done and in what way at other faculties. The organisers agreed that the event was of exceptional quality, and that they were sincerely looking forward to the next meeting.
